After what's felt like months.. and oooh i mean months.. I -just- made it to the start of Sailor Stars. So great to see a new opening! Makes me wonder, how many of you were surprised to go through that many seasons with the same opening music then see something brand new?

I remember i learned the sailor stars opening in japanese before learning the first opening. Crazy huh? Well actually, it was one of the first japanese theme songs i ever learned being that young. I'd say.. eleven or twelve?

I've been re-watching Sailor Moon in japanese since about last year around my birthday [December 23rd.] Why? Well i needed something to do to get my mind off of pregnancy. . and wouldn't you of guessed; i had my baby as a premie juuust as i'm nearing the end of sailor moon.

So since coming home from the hospital, i'm drawing the series to a close now; and hoping nothing but the best for my son. [Which for the record, i'm glad it's a boy and not a girl. The father already said he'd have a huuuuge soft spot if i would of had a girl.. and pffft on that >( ]

Well, i just felt like sharing photo's with all of you with what probably is the next maybe 2% of males who wont be ashamed to admit they like sailor moon and watched the series at some point within their life.

'Cause if my baby is anything like me, he'll become obsessed with all soooorts of anime.

I was researching my own family's birthdates because...well, it's a Sunday and there's not much to do, and I decided to look into our beloved KAT-TUN members' birthdays. More specifically, their birth trees.

As with all things, you can choose to believe the connotations associated with such matters or not. For me, it's simply good fun and I thought it was interesting so I decided to share. :)

( Particularity, Love, Ambition, Passion, Sensitivity and Melancholy )

So, what does everyone think? Imo, the characteristics of Koki's tree fits him the most. Akanishi's are the most lovely though. :D

Jake and the Quileutes have begun to phase early, and its not clear why... until a surge in the population of the Olympic population seems heavy with dark vampires....
Characters needed: Bella, Jake, Leah Clearwater, Volturi members, other wolves, original characters, evil vampires, humans... you name it really!

SMASH! (Sydney Manga and Anime Show) is a convention by fans for fans. We have a really strong focus on creativity with many cosplay and artist events, but we’re also working on including writers too. As such, we’d love to have as many writers as possible enter the competition.

For all who’d like to see their favourite character bizarrely transformed, some unusual romantic interests or that scene you’re sure is missing from canon…

SMASH! is running a fanfiction competition for those interested in taking a bit of creative license to canon (or possibly throwing it right out the window).

Entries will be judged by a panel of reputable fanfiction authors, chosen for their skills and knowledge of a broad range of fandoms.

To be in on the action, have a look at the fandom list (you’re sure to know at least one of them), and pick one of our prompts to use as broadly as you like to write your fanfic. The skies the limits for what you choose to write (any scene, any pairing), but all fanfics must be rated G or PG. The word length of fics is recommended to be between 1000 to 2000 words, but this is a recommendation, not a hard limit.

Unfortunately prizes will only be awarded to entrants from Australia or New Zealand, but others are welcome to enter and receive feedback from our judges.
